South Korean athletes win gold at Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games

South Korean athletes secured multiple gold medals at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games in Japan.

In table tennis, Yun Ji-yu defended her title in the women's singles (CLASS 3) by defeating China's Huang Zhu-rui with a 3-0 score. Yun, who previously won gold at the Hangzhou Games, expressed her ambition to target a gold medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics. Additionally, Kim Eun-hee won gold in the women's singles (CLASS 1) after a dominant performance in the group stage, marking her first appearance and victory at the Asian Para Games.

In athletics, Jang Min-ho set a new Asian record in the men's 100m (T13, visual impairment) with a time of 10.48 seconds. Jang, who has also competed in the non-disabled Asian Games, overcame recent challenges with retinitis pigmentosa to achieve this milestone.
