South Korean authorities probe BIGBANG concert seating issues
South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission is investigating a complaint regarding the seating arrangements at BIGBANG’s recent XX : COSMOS world tour concert at Goyang Stadium. The event, held from August 21 to 23, has faced backlash after fans reported significant visibility issues.
Ticket holders in sections F1 and F2, which were priced at approximately ₩253,000 KRW ($183 USD), reported that a tall stage extension obstructed their view of the performers. Many attendees claimed they could barely see the group members due to the setup.
A complaint filed with the Seoul Regional Office of the Fair Trade Commission alleges violations of South Korea’s E-Commerce Act. The investigation will focus on whether the seats were properly disclosed, sold, and inspected, specifically noting the lack of warning regarding obstructed views during the initial sale. The commission will also determine if affected fans are entitled to refunds.
