South Korean bus routes adjusted for school and airport access

Public transportation routes in South Korea are undergoing adjustments to improve accessibility for students and residents.

In Yeongjong-gu, a new school bus route, ‘Yeongjong 5-6’, will be established on August 31 to connect Unseo Middle School and Yeongjong Sky City. This service aims to reduce travel burdens for students during afternoon dismissal. Additionally, the existing Route 6 will be reorganized to travel via the Incheon Bridge instead of the Cheongna Sky Bridge, connecting Muui-do to Dongincheon Station.

In Seoul, the airport bus Route 6703 will be expanded starting in September to include stops in the Jamwon and Banpo areas. The route will now serve four additional stops, including Shindong Middle School and the Banpo Sports Complex, before heading to Incheon International Airport. This change follows high resident approval and aims to meet the transportation needs of areas undergoing active reconstruction.
