South Korean cities and tech firms to showcase physical AI robots at upcoming expos

Hwaseong City will showcase various physical AI technologies, including bionic and humanoid robots, at the ‘MARS 2026’ AI Expo held at Seoul COEX from next month. The exhibition will feature the ‘UWORLD U1 Pro’ bionic robot, which can mimic human facial expressions and movements, and the ‘Walker C1’ humanoid robot, which is scheduled to perform a ballet routine. Other technologies on display include logistics robots for box transport, service robots for inventory management, and multilingual guidance robots capable of supporting 20 different languages.

Separately, robotics and retail technology company TIMCORE will participate in ‘2026 RoboWorld’ at KINTEX in Goyang. The company plans to present three types of autonomous service robots developed in collaboration with POSBANK: the ‘TIMBOT-S’ serving robot designed for narrow F&B environments, the high-load ‘TIMBOT-R’, and the compact ‘TIMBOT-C’. These demonstrations aim to highlight automation solutions for service and retail sectors using LiDAR and camera-based autonomous driving technology.
