South Korean companies support visually impaired students

In observance of White Cane Safety Day, P&G Korea and Aekyung Industrial joined the Korea Consumer Agency and the Business Regular Consultation Body to support visually impaired individuals through safety education and product accessibility tools.

As part of a five-year initiative, the collaboration expanded its scope this year to include safety training for students at the National School for the Blind in Seoul. The training focused on teaching students how to identify household products and access safety information using QR codes and braille tags.

Participants provided approximately 180 million won worth of visually impaired-friendly goods to households and schools. Additionally, the group distributed 6,255 sets of reusable braille tags for items like detergents and shampoos, along with 10,000 braille and low-vision stickers for smaller cosmetic and chemical products.
