South Korean counties advance regional development and administrative plans
Local governments in South Korea are refining their administrative plans and future projects. Goseong County, led by Governor Ha Hak-yeol, held its second report meeting for the 9th civil election pledges. The county is focusing on setting specific milestones for large-scale projects, such as the KTX Goseong station area development, the construction of a cultural arts center, and the creation of a second sports town. To manage fiscal constraints, the county plans to secure national and provincial funds through government contests.
Meanwhile, Cheongdo County, under Governor Park Kwon-hyeon, is preparing for its 2027 administrative work reports. The county aims to accelerate key projects and discover new growth drivers, including the Gyeongsan-Cheongdo metropolitan railway network, urban regeneration projects, and the development of a healing forest. Cheongdo plans to implement 138 new projects in 2027, ranging from smart farm creation to the opening of a video media center.
