In separate criminal cases in South Korea, two men have faced legal consequences for fatal attacks.

A man in his 70s was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Incheon District Court Bucheon Branch for the murder of his common-law spouse. The victim, a woman in her 50s, was killed in March in Bucheon after a dispute regarding financial issues. The court noted that while the crime was not premeditated, the manner of the killing was gruesome and represented a significant breach of familial responsibility.

In Seoul, a man in his 60s was arrested following a fatal stabbing at a Go club in Nowon-gu. The suspect allegedly killed an acquaintance during an argument while intoxicated. The Seoul Northern District Court issued an arrest warrant, citing concerns regarding the potential destruction of evidence and flight risk. The suspect has reportedly admitted to the charges, stating he acted out of anger.
