South Korean culture celebrated through exhibitions and festivals
To mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and South Korea, an exhibition dedicated to the Seokguram Grotto is being presented. This UNESCO World Heritage site, located in Gyeongju, is a masterpiece of Buddhist art from the Unified Silla period (668–935). The exhibition highlights the architectural precision of the artificial granite cave and features photography by Han Seokhong to showcase its sacred sculptures, including bodhisattvas and Buddhas.
In Luxembourg, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea hosted the K-Culture festival at the Cercle Cité. The event, which opened the embassy's doors to the public for the first time, featured traditional elements such as street food, calligraphy, hanboks, and martial arts demonstrations to celebrate Korean heritage.
