South Korean culture expands in Dominican Republic and Mexico

South Korean cultural initiatives are expanding in Latin America through various events. In the Dominican Republic, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the King Sejong Institute Foundation will host the Sejong Cultural Day 2026 from August 27 to September 4. The program features workshops in K-Beauty, traditional Korean games, and K-Pop, led by specialists such as Choi Ji-on from Woosong University.

In Mexico, singer Ha Jin has been confirmed to perform at Animole 2026. Known for her work on K-Drama soundtracks, including the viral hit ‘We All Lie’ from the series SKY Castle, her appearance marks a significant moment for fans of Korean television and music during the convention's 30th anniversary.
