South Korean defense firms showcase advanced weaponry at MSPO Poland
South Korean defense companies are showcasing advanced military technologies at the 34th MSPO international defense exhibition in Kielce, Poland, aiming to expand their presence in the Eastern European market.
Hyundai Rotem has unveiled the K2PL, a localized version of the K2 tank featuring Polish-made mission equipment. This includes a mobile camouflage system from Miranda and a bridge tank being co-developed with Obrum. The K2PL is designed with advanced technologies such as an Active Protection System (APS) and drone jammers to counter modern threats. Hyundai Rotem is also preparing for local production in Poland through partnerships with companies like BUMAR-ŁABĘDY.
KAI (Korea Aerospace Industries) is presenting its Next-Generation Air Combat System (NACS), which integrates the KF-21 fighter with unmanned combat aerial vehicles and low-orbit communication satellites. The company is focusing on manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) capabilities for both aircraft and helicopters.
Hanwha Aerospace and LIG Defense & Aerospace are highlighting multi-layered air defense solutions. Hanwha is showcasing systems like the L-SAM and H-SHORAD, alongside unmanned ground vehicles and AI-driven satellite imagery analysis.
