South Korean dramas gain traction on Netflix

South Korean television productions continue to see success on Netflix, highlighted by the popularity of actress Go Youn Jung and the suspense series ‘O Rato’.

Go Youn Jung recently starred in the successful drama ‘A Gente Tenta’. Her previous notable works include ‘Alchemy of Souls’, ‘Light Shop’, ‘Resident Playbook’, and ‘Can Love Be Translated?’.

Additionally, the Netflix suspense series ‘O Rato’, directed by Kim Hong-sun and starring Ryu Jun-yeol and Sul Kyung-gu, has entered the platform's Top 10. The ten-episode series is inspired by Korean folklore regarding a creature that assumes a person's identity after consuming their fingernails. The modern adaptation explores themes of digital identity and privacy, following a crime novelist who discovers an impostor is using his personal information and physical likeness to commit fraud.
