South Korean dramas see high viewership and ratings in 2026

Several South Korean television series are gaining significant popularity and high viewership ratings in 2026. According to Nielsen Korea data, the KBS2 romantic-family drama ‘Love on the Menu’ remains a top performer, recording a 14.2 percent national rating for its September 5 episode, having previously reached peaks of 16.6 percent.

Other notable ongoing series include the action-thriller ‘A Bona Fide Killer’ on MBC, which holds a 9.3 percent rating, ‘Flex x Cop 2’ in the Friday-Saturday slot, and the rising drama ‘Four Hands, Two Sonatas’.

In addition to ongoing broadcasts, major productions such as ‘Perfect Crown’ (The 21st Century Grand Prince's Wife) are generating significant discussion. Starring IU and Byeon Woo-seok, the series is set in an alternative reality where South Korea maintains a constitutional monarchy alongside a modern government.
