South Korean educational offices host teacher training and discussion forums

The Sejong Education Research and Training Institute held a professional development session on October 27 for 100 teachers and educational professionals. The program, titled ‘2026 Growing School Stories Training,’ focused on sharing practical experiences where classroom applications of training led to tangible changes in educational environments. Topics included inquiry-based instruction, social-emotional support for students, and the use of artificial intelligence in education.

In a separate initiative, the Guri-Namyangju Office of Education held a discussion forum on October 28 for approximately 60 elementary school teachers. The forum centered on fostering deep learning through questioning, discussion, and essay-type assessments. Panelists and participants discussed implementing inquiry-based lessons, IB school assessment models, and building school cultures that support student agency and teacher professional growth.
