Yang Seung-hye gains attention ahead of Asian Games
South Korean fencer Yang Seung-hye is gaining international attention ahead of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The 20-year-old member of the women's épée national team has been described by Thai media, 'Thairath Sport', as appearing 'as beautiful as an AI-generated character'.
Beyond her appearance, Yang has demonstrated significant competitive success on the international stage. In 2024, she contributed to a gold medal in the women's épée team event at the FIE World Cup in France, a gold medal at the Asian Championships in New Delhi, and a bronze medal at the World Championships in Hong Kong.
Yang, a student at Korea National Sport University, is the youngest member of the South Korean women's épée team. She is scheduled to compete in the women's épée team event at the Aichi Sky Expo on September 25.
