South Korean firms KT and NePas showcase AI governance and win award at UN AI for Good summit
KT participated in the UN‑ and ITU‑hosted AI for Good Global Summit 2026 in Geneva, presenting a framework for “trust primitives” – identity, consent and verifiability – that the company says are essential for responsible AI and require open, cross‑border standards.
NePas’s AI‑education platform CocoaFab was selected as the Category Winner for Generative AI in education and public services at the same summit, receiving the top prize. The unit’s head highlighted that the recognition was “very meaningful” and underscored Korea’s growing reputation in inclusive AI education. Both companies emphasized the need for safe, trustworthy AI infrastructure and the development of global standards.
The event, organized by the United Nations and the International Telecommunication Union, brought together industry, government and standards bodies to discuss AI governance and showcase leading solutions.
