South Korean firms KT&G and Bungejangteo sign youth entrepreneurship MOUs with Seoul authorities

KT&G and Seoul’s Seongdong district office signed a memorandum of understanding on 28 April to strengthen support for youth‑run startups and social‑innovation companies. The agreement expands a 2018 partnership, with KT&G offering its ‘Imagination Planet’ platform, business‑training programs and participation in the district’s social‑venture expo.

A day later, online marketplace Bungejangteo (Bunjang) concluded a similar MOU with the Seoul metropolitan government. The pact focuses on helping young entrepreneurs gain practical work experience, access sales channels through Bungejangteo’s platform, and co‑organise events and ESG‑oriented programmes.

Both agreements aim to boost young people’s job skills, create new employment opportunities and promote socially‑valuable business activities in the capital region.
