South Korean health agencies host medical regulation and AI innovation events

South Korean health and medical organizations are hosting major events focused on regulatory compliance and digital innovation.

The Korea Medical Device Safety Information has announced a briefing session for the medical device and in vitro diagnostic industry, scheduled for October 1 in Seoul. The session aims to assist manufacturers and importers by covering critical regulatory topics, including technical document review cases for Class 2 medical devices, application procedures, and item renewal systems. Registration for the event is open from September 16 to September 21.

Separately, the Korea Health Information Service successfully concluded its annual symposium at COEX in Seoul. The event, themed around the future of digital transformation in healthcare AI, brought together over 850 experts from government, academia, and industry. Discussions centered on national bio-big data, medical data standardization, and the legal frameworks necessary to support medical AI innovation and the safe utilization of healthcare data.
