South Korean hospitals sign MOUs to enhance regional medical cooperation

Several South Korean medical institutions have entered into new agreements to enhance regional healthcare services and medical cooperation.

Seoul St. Mary's Hospital and Gyeongsang National University Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster mutual cooperation. The partnership focuses on exchanging medical personnel, sharing experiences in public and essential regional healthcare, and collaborating on clinical, educational, and research activities. A key area of interest is the integration of AI and smart medical technologies, using Gyeongsang National University Hospital's regional network as a field for validating advanced medical research developed in Seoul.

Separately, Seomyeon Thezone Oriental Medicine Hospital and BS Gil General Hospital signed an MOU to establish a step-by-step medical cooperation system. This agreement aims to link acute care and surgery with rehabilitation and pain management, ensuring continuity of care for patients transitioning from emergency treatment to conservative rehabilitation.
