South Korean innovation centers launch startup support programs

Regional innovation centers in South Korea are launching specialized programs to support prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs in refining their business models.

The Gangwon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation has commenced its ‘2026 Hackathon for All’ series, starting in Chuncheon. The initiative provides a one-day intensive program where participants receive expert one-on-one mentoring to improve the quality of their business plans and pivot ideas. The tour will continue through Gangneung, Wonju, and Chuncheon to support entrepreneurs across the Gangwon region.

In Busan, the Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation held the ‘B. Startup Entrepreneurship Academy – Growth Camp for All.’ Approximately 35 participants engaged in a program that integrated idea discovery, business plan formulation, and AI mood board creation. The camp focused on practical readiness, allowing entrepreneurs to present their ideas and adjust their business models based on direct expert feedback regarding market viability and execution plans.
