South Korean institutions host student competitions and career support programs

Various academic and regional institutions in South Korea are hosting initiatives to support student development, career readiness, and community engagement.

Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH), in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, held the ‘2026 K-TECH Idea Challenge’ at the DCC Daejeon Convention Center. The event focused on fostering talent in new technology sectors, with teams from vocational high schools competing in idea and portfolio contests.

Daejin University provided practical employment support for students from Korea Culture Video High School through the ‘2026 Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Vocational High School Job Fair.’ The program included portfolio training, on-site interviews, and industrial site visits to Hyundai Motor Studio.

In Gwangjin-gu, Konkuk University students participated in the ‘2026 Gwangjin-gu Youth Program Idea Contest.’ Winners proposed community-focused initiatives, such as a book-themed festival and a safe circulation project for discarded medicines.

Additionally, a student team from Chonnam National University’s Intellectual Property Convergence major won an excellence award at the ‘2026 Intellectual Property Data Utilization Startup Competition.’ Their project featured an AI-based platform designed to match intellectual property and facilitate technology transfers between different industries.
