South Korean institutions launch AI competency training
Various South Korean institutions are conducting specialized training programs to enhance digital and artificial intelligence (AI) competencies among staff and educators.
The Gyeonggi Market Agency (Gyeonggi-do Market Agency) held advanced AI digital competency training at its Yangpyeong headquarters and Southern General Center. The program focused on practical applications of generative AI, including workflow design, data analysis, visualization, and the creation and verification of reports and official documents to improve organizational efficiency.
In Hongseong, the Hongseong Office of Education launched a professional development series titled ‘AI for Opening Future Classrooms’ for local teachers. The training aims to strengthen educators' abilities to design and operate AI and software-based lessons. The curriculum covers the latest trends in generative AI, ethical issues in the classroom, and practical skills such as physical computing and utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) for assessment systems.
