South Korean lawmaker Park Ji-won rebukes writer Yu Si-min over criticism of President Lee Jae-myung

Democratic Party lawmaker Park Ji-won addressed writer Yu Si-min, who had publicly criticised President Lee Jae‑myung, urging him to stop using what Park called “cursed language” that fuels division. Park said that even if he personally feels disappointment toward the president, the focus must be on what serves the nation, noting that South Korea is in the midst of a “civil‑war cleanup” and three major reforms.

He warned that repeated attacks by a progressive writer could benefit the “civil‑war forces” and advised Yu to refrain from comments that aid those groups. Park also referenced Yu’s earlier remarks describing Lee’s policies as heading toward “inevitable failure.”
