Local governments and organizations in South Korea are utilizing the ‘Hometown Love Donation System’ to foster regional cooperation through mutual donation initiatives.
In Boryeong and Seocheon, agricultural and livestock cooperatives have conducted cross-donations for the fourth consecutive year. Boryeong agricultural cooperatives donated 22.7 million won to Seocheon, while Seocheon cooperatives contributed 16 million won to Boryeong, totaling 38.7 million won to support local development and welfare.
Similarly, public officials from Yeongyang County and Yeongcheon City participated in a mutual donation drive. A total of 104 officials contributed 10.4 million won to support regional welfare and the successful settlement of the donation system. Yeongyang County plans to use these funds for community welfare projects, such as laundry support services for vulnerable groups.
