South Korean local governments finalize new administrative pledges
Local governments in South Korea have finalized their administrative pledges for the upcoming term.
In Seoul, Eunpyeong-gu has confirmed 115 pledge projects under its ninth elected administration. The plan maintains the previous vision, ‘Eunpyeong, the center of tomorrow and the change of change,’ to ensure administrative continuity and reduce costs. Key focus areas include accelerating redevelopment and reconstruction, expanding northwest regional transportation networks, and establishing public healthcare and childcare safety nets.
In Chungcheongbuk-do, the provincial government has established 100 projects across five sectors, with a total estimated cost of approximately 45.89 trillion KRW. These sectors include startup opportunities, safety, regional balance, culture, and practical communication. The provincial administration emphasized the need for securing national funds and private investment to ensure the successful execution of these large-scale development projects.
