South Korean man saves six lives through organ donation

Park Jong-hee, a 43-year-old man, passed away after donating his organs to save six lives. According to the Korea Organ Donation Agency, Park donated his heart, liver, both kidneys, and both eyes.

Park collapsed at his home on July 24 and was subsequently declared brain dead following surgery for a cerebral hemorrhage. His family decided to proceed with the donation, noting that Park had always held a positive view of organ and body donation. Approximately ten years ago, he had actively supported his mother's decision to donate her body to science, viewing it as a meaningful way to help others.

Park, who had worked in sales for over 20 years, was a single father raising a daughter after the early death of his wife. His family described him as a generous individual who frequently helped the elderly and supported his colleagues and customers. His mother, Noh Pan-im, expressed that while his passing is a great loss, she finds comfort in the fact that he performed such a noble act and requested that the recipients live long, healthy lives.
