South Korean man wins 500 million won lottery jackpot

A man in South Korea has won a jackpot of 500 million won (approximately 9.6 billion VND) after purchasing seven Speetto 1000 scratch-off tickets. The winning ticket was sold at a lottery outlet on Bogukmun-ro in the Seongbuk district of Seoul, according to Dong Haeng Lottery.

The winner, identified only as A, stated he was recovering from a recent surgery and had been walking regularly to improve his health. He purchased the tickets as part of his routine while exercising. Initially, A believed he had only won a small prize of 5,000 won. Upon re-examining the tickets after cleaning up, he discovered the major prize, a moment he described as feeling “stunned and dizzy.” He shared the news with his wife the following day.
