South Korean medical institutions host forums on mental health and regenerative medicine

Boramae Medical Center held the ‘2026 Regional Mental Health Emergency Medical Center Symposium and Life Love Seminar’ to discuss the future of mental health emergency systems and suicide crisis response. The event brought together approximately 100 medical professionals and stakeholders to address the roles of hospitals and community institutions in supporting patients from initial emergency response through treatment and community reintegration.

Separately, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute announced it will host the ‘2026 Advanced Regenerative Medicine Future Strategy Forum’ on October 28 in Seoul. The forum will focus on the evolving field of regenerative medicine, specifically exploring the potential to treat aging as a biological target to delay or improve functional decline, and discussing the scientific and regulatory frameworks required for such advancements.
