South Korean ministries to hold briefings on chemical safety compliance

The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Korea Environment Corporation are hosting a series of regional briefing sessions from October 14 to 23 to support industrial compliance with chemical safety regulations.

The sessions aim to strengthen the practical capabilities of corporate personnel regarding the ‘Act on Registration and Evaluation of Chemical Substances’ (K-REACH) and the ‘Chemical Control Act’. Key topics include new procedures for requesting data protection to safeguard trade secrets following recent regulatory amendments, as well as guidance on chemical substance reporting systems.

Scheduled briefings will take place in three regions: the central region in Cheongju on October 14, the metropolitan area in Seoul on October 21, and the Yeongnam region in Busan on October 23. The program includes practical training on using chemical information processing systems and analyzing toxicity data, alongside one-on-one consultation services to address specific corporate challenges.
