South Korean municipalities announce local citizen award winners

Gunpo City has announced the five recipients of the 32nd Gunpo Citizen Awards, recognizing individuals for their contributions to community development, culture, education, welfare, and the economy. The winners include Lim Ok-young for regional development, Lim Hyo-rye for culture and sports, Kim Sa-nyeo for education and welfare, Kim Myeong-ja for filial piety and service, and Yeo Won-gu for economy and environment.

In Pyeongchang County, the 36th Pyeongchang County Citizen Awards were presented to five individuals across categories including regional development, culture and arts, sports, social service, and filial piety. Recipients include Kim Yong-rae, Ko Wan-jae, Ham Jeong-hun, Jo Hye-gyeong, and Kim Su-gi, who were honored for their long-term dedication to local traditions, sports infrastructure, and community welfare.
