South Korean neurotech firms showcase innovations at Medical Fair Asia
Medical Fair Asia 2026 highlights several South Korean innovations in neurotechnology and digital therapeutics.
NEAR Brain, a medical AI startup, is developing non-invasive hemodynamic analysis solutions for cerebrovascular diseases. Its Dr. NEAR flow platform utilizes MRI images to provide quantitative blood flow analysis, including data on pressure and velocity. The company also offers Dr. NEAR training, a VR-based neurosurgical simulation platform. Having secured regulatory approval in Korea, the startup is pursuing FDA clearance for global expansion.
Nunaps Inc., a neuro-digital therapeutics company founded by Professor Dong-Wha Kang of Asan Medical Center, has secured US$16 million in Series B funding. Its primary product, Vividbrain, is a digital therapeutic designed to restore visual field defects resulting from strokes. The company is also developing additional digital therapeutics, including Lexure for language disorders, Mnora for cognitive impairment, and Nu. T for intermittent exotropia.
