South Korean office workers win major lottery prizes

Two separate South Korean office workers have recently won significant lottery prizes.

In Busan, an individual won a combined total of approximately 40.7 billion won through the Pension Lottery 720+. The winner, who had neglected to check several tickets for months, discovered they had won both a first prize and four second prizes. The first prize provides 7 million won monthly for 20 years, while the second prizes provide 1 million won monthly for 10 years. The winning tickets were purchased in Nam-gu, Busan.

In Seoul, another office worker won a 500 million won jackpot from a scratch-off ticket purchased in the Dongdaemun district. The winner discovered the win while working at their desk during a lunch break. Due to a busy work schedule, the individual completed the prize claim process approximately one month after the initial discovery.
