South Korean organizations launch AI-driven youth initiatives

Cyber diplomacy group VANK and the Overseas Koreans News are recruiting 100 youth ambassadors to serve as Global Republic of Korea AI Ambassadors. From November 27 to December 27, participants will work to identify and correct inaccuracies regarding Korean history and culture found in overseas textbooks, museums, and generative AI platforms. The program aims to leverage digital public diplomacy to promote accurate cultural information to a global audience.

Separately, Incheon International Airport Corporation has concluded a three-month AI Youth Supporters program. Conducted in collaboration with other public institutions, the initiative allowed young participants to experience smart airport operations and AI innovations. The supporters proposed new ideas, such as an AI-based system for detecting and preventing lost belongings, which the corporation plans to review for potential implementation to enhance passenger services.
