South Korean provinces begin 2027 CSAT registration

Educational authorities in Gyeonggi and Chungbuk provinces have announced the registration period for the 2027 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). Registration will take place from August 24 to September 4.

Students currently enrolled in high school should register at their respective schools, while graduates are generally required to register at their former high schools. GED holders and those living in different exam districts from their alma mater may register at the local office of education governing their current residential address.

An online pre-entry system will be available from August 20 to September 3 to allow students to input exam information and pay fees. Notably, for the first time, cash payments for exam fees will be discontinued nationwide; all fees must be paid via non-cash methods such as online transfers or QR codes.

Even after completing online pre-entry and fee payment, students must physically visit their registration site to receive a registration receipt to finalize the process. The 2027 CSAT is scheduled for November 19, with results to be released on December 11.
