South Korean regional agencies launch online market support for youth startups
The Gyeongsangbuk-do Economic Promotion Agency announced a program to help youth‑run companies enter online sales channels. The “2026 Gyeongbuk Youth Startup Online Exhibition” will select about 85 firms (age 19‑39, with a telecommunications sales license) and provide placement in the “Youth CEO Hall” on major domestic e‑commerce platforms, a dedicated product page, banner exposure, search ads and discount‑coupon promotions. Applications are accepted by Aug 21 and the program may close early if the budget is exhausted.
In parallel, the Gyeongnam Innovation Center for Creative Economy and Innovation opened the “2026 G‑Space Startup Digital Marketing Support Project” for 12 early‑stage firms located in Yangsan, Gimhae and Miryang. Each selected company can receive up to 5 million won for digital‑marketing costs and will take part in practical training to improve online‑market competitiveness. The initiative is funded by Gyeongsangnam‑do province and Yangsan City and aims to boost sales and market reach for young entrepreneurs.
