South Korean regional hubs launch startup investment summits
South Korean regional authorities are launching initiatives to support startup growth through intensive networking and investment opportunities.
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator are recruiting startups for the ‘2026 G-SUMMIT’. Scheduled for October 14–15 at the Suwon Convention Center, the event aims to connect innovative startups with over 150 domestic and international investment and cooperation institutions, including venture capitals and large corporations. The program includes a pre-investment meetup system designed to facilitate ongoing investment discussions.
In Busan, the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center is recruiting participants for the ‘BOUNCE 2026 Global Office Hour’. This program offers intensive 25-minute one-on-one consultations between domestic startups with less than seven years of operation and eight investment and startup agencies from six countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Netherlands. The goal is to help startups refine market entry strategies and secure local partners for global expansion.
