South Korean securities firms launch new digital investment services
Several South Korean securities firms have announced new services and strategic initiatives to enhance investor convenience and digital capabilities.
Korea Investment & Securities has introduced an industry-first feature allowing users to monitor real-time evaluations of total pension assets. This update enables real-time tracking of balance changes for ETFs, REITs, listed infrastructure funds, and cash assets through its mobile trading system (MTS), bypassing the previous delay caused by the standard D+2 settlement cycle. Additionally, the firm is hosting a domestic stock investment competition called 'Hantu Battle' through September 4.
Daishin Securities is scheduled to host a 'Corporate Day' on September 12, inviting KT Corporation's CEO and executives. The event will focus on KT's mid-to-long-term growth strategies, specifically regarding AI Transformation (AX), AI platform competitiveness, and the establishment of an AI ecosystem.
Kakao Pay Securities has launched a fractional trading service for domestic stocks, allowing investors to purchase shares starting from 1,000 KRW. The service enables transactions in units as small as 0.0001 shares, initially focusing on major stocks such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and EcoPro.
