South Korean semiconductor and automotive stocks show mixed performance

Major South Korean stocks showed mixed performance during early trading and in 24-hour on-chain futures markets. On the regular exchange, Samsung Electronics saw a slight increase of 0.20%, while SK Hynix experienced a decline of 0.68% during early morning sessions.

In the blockchain-based 24-hour futures market, price movements diverged from regular market closing prices. Hyundai Motor traded at a 0.36% premium compared to its regular market close. Conversely, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix traded at discounts of 0.34% and 0.13% respectively, according to on-chain data.

Market volatility was influenced by recent movements in New York stocks, where the Dow Jones and S&P 500 declined following hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve officials, though technical buying in semiconductor stocks later mitigated some losses. In the domestic market, foreign investors recorded net selling in the electronics sector, while individual and institutional investors showed net buying.
