South Korean series 'Agent Kim Reactivated' debuts AI‑generated three‑minute action sequence on Netflix
The South Korean live‑action adaptation 'Agent Kim Reactivated' premiered on Netflix on 26 June 2026. Produced by Morpheus Studio, it became the first Korean live‑action drama to feature a three‑minute narrative segment created entirely with artificial intelligence. The AI‑generated flashback shows former North Korean secret agent Kim in large‑scale action scenes, including explosions, car chases, underwater sequences and gunfights, eliminating the need for costly traditional sets and visual‑effects work.
The series, based on the popular webtoon, follows Manager Kim (played by So Ji‑Sub) as he undertakes a final mission to protect a high‑ranking defector. A recent preview highlighted an explosive battle in episodes 9 and 10, with Kim, Olympic taekwondo champion Seong Han Soo and powerhouse Park Jin Chul fighting deep inside enemy territory. The production team said, “Manager Kim, Seong Han Soo, and Park Jin Chul will each unleash their signature fighting styles in an all‑out battle where they give everything they have.” The show is available globally with an Italian dub and continues to stream on Netflix.
