South Korean startup support initiatives focus on tech and agrifood sectors
Various organizations in South Korea are launching initiatives to support technology-based startups and agrifood innovators.
The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation will host the ‘2026 Startup One-Stop Bridge Day’ in Pangyo on November 3. This event, part of a Ministry of SMEs and Startups project, aims to resolve management difficulties for pre-entrepreneurs and tech startups through 1:1 expert consultations. The program focuses on four critical areas: taxation/accounting, legal issues, patents/intellectual property, and government support programs. It includes specialized training, such as basic tax and accounting education conducted in cooperation with the Jungbu Regional Tax Office.
Separately, accelerator CNT Tech will hold the ‘2026 FAST TRACK Agrifood Demo Day’ on October 30 at COEX in Seoul. Supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the event features 15 agrifood startups showcasing technologies such as AI-based inventory management, autonomous agricultural robots, and eco-friendly materials. The demo day includes investor relations (IR) presentations and 1:1 business matching sessions to facilitate investment, market expansion, and industry collaboration.
