South Korean startups receive diverse investments and technological expansions
The Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation has completed investment contracts totaling 2.35 billion KRW for 19 startups as of July 2026. The investments primarily targeted the robot and physical AI sectors, with 26% of the companies focused on this field, including firms specializing in spinal rehabilitation and underwater robotics.
In the commerce sector, short-form content solution provider witU reported cumulative sales of 220 billion KRW and has maintained profitability for seven consecutive years. The company achieved an annual operating profit exceeding 10 billion KRW in 2025 and is expanding its presence in the US, Southeast Asia, Japan, and the UK.
Additionally, food tech brand Nuldam has launched a new line of room-temperature bakery products using its proprietary ‘Long Lasting Bake’ technology. These high-protein, low-sugar products are designed for long-term storage without refrigeration and are available through major convenience stores and online platforms.
