South Korean summer festivals draw crowds in Busan and beyond

South Korea is hosting several major summer festivals, including the WATERBOMB Busan Festival. During the August 8 event, K-pop soloist Choi Yena drew significant social media attention for her performance in a bodysuit inspired by the Overwatch character D.Va.

In Busan, the 30th Busan Sea Festival is currently underway at Dadaepo Beach, featuring fireworks, a sunset beach club, and various food and market programs. Additionally, KIMA Week is offering marine leisure activities such as yachting, surfing, and a national rowing competition.

Other notable seasonal events include the Everland Midsummer Night Firefly Festival, which features indoor firefly viewing sessions, and the Boryeong Mud Festival.
