South Korean television series highlight diverse genres and streaming availability

Various South Korean television productions have gained attention across different genres and streaming platforms.

The 2017 series ‘The Package’, consisting of 12 episodes, aired on JTBC and follows a travel guide leading a group of tourists through France, exploring the personal conflicts and evolving relationships of the travelers.

Other notable productions include the romantic miniseries ‘Soundtrack #1’, which premiered on Disney+ in March 2022, focusing on two best friends of 20 years sharing a home for two weeks. The suspense series ‘Flower of Evil’ aired on tvN in 2020, starring Lee Joon-gi and Moon Chae-won, and achieved international reach via platforms like Netflix, iQiyi, Viki, and ViuTV.

Additionally, the 16-episode series ‘Marry My Husband’ aired on tvN in early 2024. Based on a web novel, the story follows a woman who receives a second chance at life to seek revenge against her husband and best friend after being betrayed.
