South Korean universities announce 2027 early admission details

South Korean higher education institutions have announced details for their 2027 academic year early admissions processes.

Chungnam State University is recruiting for its first round of early admissions through the 30th. The university will select students across 14 departments, including the Advanced Technology Convergence Department, which is a contract department offering guaranteed employment through links with over 60 local large and medium-sized enterprises. Notable changes include the restructuring of the Fire Safety Management Department into a three-year program and the renaming of the Smart Farm Department to the Smart Bio-Agriculture Department. The university continues to offer full tuition scholarships for new students.

Gyeongin National University of Education (GINUE) will select 402 students during its early admissions period, the largest number among national education universities. Approximately 70% of its total intake will be through early recruitment. The university is implementing flexible admission methods, such as non-face-to-face recorded interviews and relaxed CSAT minimum requirements for certain tracks, to reduce the burden on applicants.
