South Korean universities announce 2027 early admission plans
Yeungnam University and Hansung University have announced their early admission recruitment plans for the 2027 academic year, with application periods scheduled to begin next month from the 7th to the 11th.
Yeungnam University plans to recruit 4,225 students. Key updates include the establishment of an AI Convergence major within the Computer Science department and the introduction of a new regional physician selection process for the College of Medicine, which will select 13 students. The university also features a military science program in partnership with the Army, offering full tuition support for selected students. Yeungnam University recently noted its high ranking in global university evaluations and its status as a leading recipient of government financial support among private universities.
Hansung University will recruit 1,139 students, representing approximately 69% of its total quota. The university is expanding its focus on AI by reorganizing its Design and Creative Convergence colleges into the AI Design and AI Convergence colleges, respectively, and establishing a new AI Mechanical Robotics Engineering department. Notably, Hansung is introducing a comprehensive student record screening process for its ‘Imagination Talent Faculty,’ a division focused on autonomous majors.
