South Korean universities announce 2027 early admission plans

South Korean universities have announced their early recruitment plans for the 2027 academic year.

Dankook University plans to select 3,135 students through its early admissions process, representing 61% of its total recruitment goal. The university is introducing a new AI Architecture Convergence Department to foster talent in AI and construction. Additionally, the Cheonan campus will establish a new Regional Medical Talent track for the Pre-medical department, specifically targeting students from the Chungcheong region who meet certain residency and academic requirements.

National Gyeongguk University's Yecheon Campus will recruit 116 students across five departments, including Animal Science, Industrial Color Engineering, and Emergency Medical Services. The university utilizes a broad recruitment model where students explore majors during their first semester before finalizing their choice. To support regional development, the university offers full tuition scholarships for freshmen residing in Gyeongbuk and academic incentives for students living in Andong or Yecheon.
