South Korean universities host campus festivals and integrity campaigns
South Korean universities have recently held various campus events aimed at fostering community and institutional values.
The University of Seoul hosted its inaugural ‘Integrity Day’ on September 22, coinciding with the TROIKA joint festival. The event, led by President Won Yong-geol, included integrity-themed quizzes, a pledge ceremony, and discussions on improving organizational culture. To promote the message, the university also held short-form video and acrostic poem contests, with winning entries to be displayed on campus digital signage and social media.
Meanwhile, Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies successfully concluded its autumn festival, ‘2026 CUFESTA,’ on September 19. Centered on the theme of ‘Harmony,’ the event focused on providing ‘human touch’ opportunities for online-based students to meet in person. Highlights included cultural experience booths, AI demonstrations, and a large-scale bibimbap sharing event. The festival concluded with performances from various language departments and guest artists.
