South Korean universities host cultural programs for international students

Several South Korean universities have organized cultural exchange programs to help international students adapt to local life and celebrate the Chuseok holiday.

Gyeongbuk College held a traditional games session featuring Yutnori and Ddakji-chigi. The program, led by the Student Integrated Support Center, aimed to help new international students from the Global Engineering Department build emotional bonds with domestic peer counselors and overcome language and cultural barriers.

Honam University's International Exchange Division and Graduate School hosted events including traditional clothing experiences, Ganggangsullae performances, and Songpyeon sharing. The university also provided legal and safety education to assist students in navigating life in Korea.

Gwangju Women's University implemented a student-led cultural exchange program. Initiated by a Vietnamese student, the program allowed participants to compare the Chuseok traditions of Korea, China, and Vietnam through stamp tours and educational materials, fostering mutual understanding between domestic and international students.
