South Korean universities announce 2027 academic year admission plans

Several South Korean universities have announced their rolling admission plans for the 2027 academic year.

Changwon National University will begin applications from September 7 to September 11, selecting 1,725 students for its Changwon and Sacheon campuses, 340 for its Geochang campus, and 306 for its Namhae campus. Gyeongbuk College will conduct its first round of rolling admissions from September 7 to September 30, aiming to select 750 students across various departments, including natural sciences, engineering, and humanities.

Hanshin University plans to select 1,136 students through rolling admissions, with applications open from September 7 to September 11. The university is emphasizing its department-specific recruitment and simplified interview processes.

Chung-Ang University will select 2,862 students, representing 57.5% of its total recruitment. The university is introducing new categories, including a growth-oriented talent track that requires minimum CSAT scores and a creative talent track for essay-based admissions that does not. Chung-Ang is also expanding its recruitment in advanced fields such as AI and software engineering.
