South Korean universities sign agreements to advance forestry and agrivoltaic research

National Gyeongguk University has entered into a mutual cooperation agreement with the Forestry Training Institute of the National Forestry Cooperative Federation. The partnership aims to foster professional talent in the forestry sector through enhanced education, research, and practical field training. The agreement includes the exchange of research data, joint use of training facilities and equipment, and the development of specialized forestry education programs and content to support student career paths.

Hankyong National University has also signed a regional-industry-academic cooperation agreement with Argo Energy Holdings to promote agrivoltaic projects. This initiative combines agricultural research with renewable energy expertise to develop technology that allows for simultaneous crop cultivation and solar power generation. The collaboration focuses on optimizing solar systems for agricultural use, conducting joint R&D to improve power efficiency, and establishing educational programs to train specialists in the fields of renewable energy and future agriculture.
