South Korea's KOSPI marks four-day winning streak

The South Korean stock market has recorded four consecutive sessions of gains ahead of the Chuseok Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The KOSPI index rose by 63.01 points, or 0.90 percent, to close at 7,080.92, marking a total advance of more than 365 points or 5.8 percent over the period. Gains were driven by the technology, chemical, financial, and retail sectors.

Global market trends show a positive lead from Wall Street, where the Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 all saw increases. This strength coincided with a significant pullback in crude oil prices, following reports of a potential deal to resolve the conflict between the United States and Iran. However, rising treasury yields have contributed to more subdued buying interest in some areas.
